I had the pleasure of welcoming our friends from the Warwick twinning association to explore this exceptional site, which traces the history of the birth of Normandy. It’s a place I know well for having worked there for several years and that I wanted to show them around. A big thank you to Christian Sébire, the founding president, for making us live the incredible adventure that is Ornavik. Mandy and Sue were delighted with their visit! We were delighted to be shown around this incredible project by the founding President, Christian Sébire, and Pascale Crochemore. We are planning to work with them on a project for the Anniversary of Normandy in 2027, alongside The Guy of Warwick Society. This upcoming year is especially significant as 2027 marks the 1000th anniversary of William the Conqueror’s birth. To honour this milestone, the Normandy Regional Council is launching Millennium, 2027 European Year of the Normans.
