UPCOMING EVENT

Celebrating 50 Years with Saumur

2026 marks a very special occasion – the 50th anniversary of Warwick’s twinning with Saumur. Planning is already underway for a series of celebratory events, including potential joint music performances.

The highlight will be on 23 April 2026 at Warwick Racecourse, where we will mark the signing of the agreement. While the official twinning was first signed in Saumur in March 1976, it was confirmed in Warwick the following year on 23 April – a fitting date for us to celebrate.

As part of the festivities, the Mayor of Warwick, who also serves as our Association’s President, will present the Warwick Cup to the winner of the race.

Many of you will know that Saumur’s Hippodrome de Verrie also runs a Warwick Cup race every October, continuing a proud sporting link between our towns.

UPCOMING EVENT

A Musical Celebration with our New Friendship Town Hérouville Saint-Clair!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, 9th May 2026!

We are thrilled to announce our very first joint event with our new friendship town, Hérouville Saint-Clair. We will be welcoming their marching band to perform in and around the town centre, bringing a fantastic French flair to Warwick.

They will be performing alongside our very own Warwick Community Band and Warwick Marching Band for a day of music and celebration.

Full details and timings are to be confirmed, but this is a date you won’t want to miss!
